1.1 The composition and working principle of the hopper mixer

The hopper mixer (Fig. 1) consists of a base, a slewing body with a hopper, a transmission mechanism, a brake mechanism, a lifting mechanism, and an electric light control system.

When working, the square conical hopper is pushed into the revolving body. At this time, the sensing system can automatically lift the revolving body with the hopper to the working position and automatically clamp and lock the reel when the pressure sensor detects the completion of the locking. The transmission mechanism drives the slewing body with the hopper to mix and turn up and down. The mixing operation during the rotation can be performed according to the set time and rotation speed. When the operation reaches the set time, the rotary body that drives the hopper stops at the initial position and completes the mixing. The brake mechanism will perform rotary braking of the rotary body. At this time, the lifting mechanism will automatically lower the mixing hopper in the revolver into position, and automatically stop the whole work, and then the operator can push the mixing hopper to the corresponding station.

1.2 Mixing principle of hopper mixer

Mixing is the process of reducing the non-uniformity of components. Mixing is dominated by convection mixing. The movement of particles from one spatial position to another spatial position, or the movement of two or more components in the space occupied by each other, to achieve each The uniform distribution of components. From the powder mixing mechanism, powder mixing can be generally divided into three basic movements: first, convection mixing, relative movements between powders and particles, up and down, and left and right movements; second, diffusion mixing, and diffusion of powder particles to newly emerged powder surfaces. On the third; shear mixing, powder formation slip surface. However, the convection, diffusion, and shear mixing movements that occur during the mixing process cannot work independently in their respective areas, but occur simultaneously as mixing progresses.

The hopper mixer has many characteristics of the three-dimensional motion mixer. The hopper mixer principle: The same as other rotary mixing, the use of the hopper rotation, so that the material is up and down flip, zoom in, left and right doping to achieve a uniform mixing effect, that is, convection , Diffusion of two mixing movements; the second is to use the hopper's flip axis (the hopper square column traverses the centerline of the opposite side) and the axis of rotation (left and right arm shaft) at an angle of 30°, when the material can turn along the hopper wall For tangential movement, the effect of shear mixing can be achieved, resulting in a more intense effect of mixing. The mixing effect of the two aspects is superimposed, so that the trajectory of each particle is complex and different, and the position is changed at any time, achieving a high mixing effect.
