◆ Horizontal spray dryer is the XIANDAO proprietary technology. Its main feature is: drying chamber is placed horizontally and it is equipped with a set of advanced heat recovery system. This design can not only save a lot of space, reduce production costs, but also reduce the investment cost, in addition, the equipment is easy to be cleaned and maintained routinely.
◆ The feed section is pumped to the nozzle atomizers by means of a high-pressure feed pump, and the amount of feed is automatically controlled by the plant control system.
◆ The atomization of the feed section takes place co-current to the drying air in a reliable nozzle atomizer.
◆ The drying air is filtered and is afterwards heated in a steam air heater then the hot air is transferred to an effective air distributor placed on head of the drying chamber.
◆ The drying chamber is placed horizontally. The powder after dried fall to the floor, where there is a clean sweeper with conveyor drive. The powder is sweeped continuously to the screw of the tail of the drying chamber. And then the product gets out from the screw.

◆ The chamber will be constructed according to the co-current flow principle, i.e. the hot air will enter the chamber cocurrent with the atomized feed still having a high content of water. Consequently, an immediate drop in temperature will take place due to evaporation, thus preventing overheating of the micro pearls.
◆ Most powder product discharged through a rotary valve from the tail of the drying chamber. The fines from chamber will be led to a bag filter for separation, and the clean air is let to the heat recovery system.
◆ The dried powder is discharged into a vibrating powder sifter for final treatment i.e., where oversize particles are screened off.
◆ A XIANDAO heat recovery system can be retrofitted to your spray-drying plant to take advantage of the heat already flowing through it, enabling you to cut heating costs by as much as 20%.
◆ The plant will be delivered with necessary instruments for control and supervision of the entire process.
